Annual Christmas Event

Each year, Military Outreach collects new toys, games, books, and clothing for children up to the age of 15 (80% of whom are age seven and under), to help military parents give their children Christmas gifts. Our Christmas event is open to all of San Diego County's E-1 to E-5 active-duty military families. With the assistance of individuals, churches, and organizations who generously donate gifts and volunteer time, we set aside two days in December, during which military parents can personally select gifts for their children.

In 2004, we joined forces with the Armed Services YMCA and Operation Homefront. We were thrilled to provide Christmas gifts to nearly 3,000 children in more than 1,000 families. We are grateful to all our donors and volunteers. We are also grateful to the following churches for providing rooms that we converted into toy stores: First Presbyterian Church of San Diego, Grace Presbyterian Church Vista, Fllabrook Presbyterian Church, Trinity Presbyterian Church, and Murphy Canyon Chapel.
